CCFA

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a registered charity which exists to promote the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force. The Association provides the national forum for CCF contingents and is recognised by the Ministry of Defence, the headteachers’ organisations and other interested bodies as the organisation to carry out the following functions:

  • To act as advisors to the Ministry of Defence and other authorities on CCF matters in general.

  • To assume responsibility for such CCF activities which fall outside the Ministry of Defence’s direct concern.

  • To facilitate a collective insurance scheme.
  • To provide a point of contact, where required, with CVQO, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, the Council for Cadet Rifle Shooting, St John Ambulance and other similar organisations.

  • To provide advice and assistance where possible to members.

The organisation also coordinates the Cadet Bursary Fund, and produces marketing and communication materials for the Cadet Expansion Programme, and CCF as a whole. The charity provides grant programmes to which CCFs can apply, for further details see the funding opportunities page. Click here to see a list of previous recipients.
